Good food, friendly staff.

Had a lovely meal here. Great friendly staff and service. Food delicious. The ambiance great. Only visiting from Australia, otherwise would definitely do again.

We have used this restaurant many times and have been very happy but 2 weeks ago we had a takeaway and it was not nice and very expensive we worked it out to be £28 but they charged us £39.80 when I questioned the price he said they had to put prices up I was not impressed as this was an increase of £12 way too much so unfortunately we will not be going there again any time soon, the starter and the lamb was ok but main meal was fatty and inedible didn’t enjoy it at all, I ordered chicken with cashew nuts witch is my favourite it was nothing like what I am used to it was horrible

Love this restaurant the prices are a little high but then you get what you pay for as the food is fantastic, make sure you book or you may not get a table as this is a very popular venue.

Nice food but miserable staff but the old witch that deals with takeaways tops the lot of them!!!! The whole of Hoddesden knows how miserable she is! They seem to get away with it because of their nice food but really she should be out the back washing up!

Ok, minimum spend seems strange. Not to keen on service charges being added too. But food was nice.

Food is ok, not amazing but not bad so I suppose it's just standard Chinese ... not too different to buffet quality and the presentation is quite basic. However the service is a bit lacking. It took half an hour to order and even after asking to order the first time nobody came back. Some servers were friendly but they also have ones that only bring food so you can't order drinks. Generally the experience is only ok and I think they're busy because they are the only sit down Chinese in the area.

Ever ordered a takeaway where plastic cutlery isn't provided? I was advised to buy cutlery front aTesco Express. On top of that staff are unfriendly and nonchalant and the chicken in my 'chicken fried rice' was reformed! Never again😣

One for the history books great Chinese great service. I’ve been using this Chinese on an off for more than 25 years. That’s a Great recommendation by itself.

Quite possibly the rudest restaurant staff I have ever encountered. Not only were they rude they made us feel unwelcome and told there's a minimum order of £25 per person.

You have to pay 15 at least per person even your 6 and 9yr old have counted too...poor customer care..so sorry to say this.....hope some changes🤔

Gave1 star and this is 1 star to many we sat down ordered our drinks then orderedour mains.then only to be told we would have to order more This restaurant was 3/4s empty! I wonder why!!!! They were very rude we were told to border more food as there was a minimum spend WWII he we would have exceeded had we stayed they were very rude this restaurant was almost empty

Fantastic Chinese food. A bit on the expensive side, however you get what you pay for in quality and quantity of ingredients . Best Chinese for miles around ! Will go back again and again. Staff friendly and helpful.

I have been going here since 2014 and it is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to (and I love my Chinese food). The staff do their best to remember you by name. Iris is one of the waitresses there and she will always welcome me with 'Hi Scott, how are you?'The food is reasonably priced for the quality. The restaurant is usually quite busy and so I'd recommend booking ahead especially at the weekend. It has a good atmosphere most evenings. Only fault if I had to find one is they don't supply a knife and fork unless you ask for one - but maybe this just shows my lack of culture!

We've been going to this restaurant for 13 years and it has been consistently good. The staff are friendly and the food is wonderful. They always get the right order and have never forgotten anything. Great place.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and it has always been excellent. The quality of the food is first rate and the service very good indeed. The food is served hot and fresh. Coupled with good quality table linen and friendly atmosphere make this place a must visit.

Mum and and dad went for anniversary dinner they said the chicken and sweetcorn soup was to die for, they had a fantastic experience they would recommend it to everyone, staff were well mannered and polite, they will be going again they phoned up and made a reservation on the phone

Went for an evening out with 4 friends - great to have a round table so everyone could chat together. They suggested having a set meal for 4 with one other dish which worked out perfectly. Excellent tasty food.

Esther (the owner) is the rudest person I've ever encountered! Regardless of how good the food is (compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area) I won't be going back! Total disgrace to the restaurant trade!

Very disappointed with our take away last night. Ordered imperial meal for two persons and some extra items for our daughter. When we started the duck and pancakes, there was no duck sauce or or strips of cucumber and spring onion.Portion sizes were much smaller than when you eat in.One rib was just bone, absolutely no meat on it.Everything tasted too spicy hot. There were no prawn crackers, which surprised me as my parents always get complimentary crackers from them.I phoned, not to complain, but to let them know their mistakes. However, I had to explain 3 times. Nothing was done or said about the issues we had. We couldn't go back and collect the missing items as by then we were too far away.Our bill was £50.50, for which I'd expect a high quality feast.Such a shame as we've eaten there for many, many years.

Went to this restaurant at 8.35pm on 11/01/18 asked if I could book table for 9.00pm young chap in white shirt hummed and hard and said ok looking at the time.We arrived at 9pm out of the 4 set meals only 2 were available! A family left and then a couple left which left us , the music was turned off mid way through a song,and we were about to start our main course , my partner asked for music to be put back they put music back on , my partner was getting upset with how we were being served , the staff are awful and need to smile and make people feel valued! My partner confronted the staff as he was paying saying was very disappointed with the service and the one in white shirt said f... you I couldn't believe my ears ! So needless to say we definitely won't be going back ! Staff need training as there attitude to customers. Disgusting!!

Very disappointing. This is the second worst Chinese restaurant we’ve ever visited. Male staff member was very rude and peculiar. He asked what we wanted to order without having a book to write it down and ended missing one of our dishes. Female member was very polite and attentive. Duck was nice, ribs were decent and the crab claws tasted fresh. However: 1. This was the worst and most tasteless Singapore noodles I’ve ever tasted. They were grey in colour2. The rice had no salt3. Shredded chilli beef sauce was too sweet and there was minimal beef in the batter4. Salt and chilli Squid was so chewy5. Cutlery and 2 plates were dirty (had to ask for clean)6. There were no complimentary prawn crackers! (We spent £89)The price is extortionate compared to other local Chinese restaurants that sell better quality food and at a lesser price. Everything we ordered came to £89! We will not be visiting again and do not recommend.
